Resort Manager | Full Time & part time


Your Role

The Resort Manager is responsible for ensuring assigned service & administrative support areas operate in support of the Company goals & mission statement. Responsibilities include supervising staff in performance of assigned duties, care of pets & customer satisfaction.

job duties

Primary Duties

  1. Proactively supports company mission statement & customer service standards.

  2. Create & maintain operating procedures for assigned services areas.

  3. Manage facility & personnel ensuring client & animal care services are provided in compliance with company procedures.

  4. Monitor staff performance related to execution of service to expectations. Oversee performance of new staff & annual performance reviews. Ensure corrective action is performed as necessary.

  5. Oversee interviewing & hiring in accordance with employment laws/company

    procedures & proper documentation of new employee files.

  6. Create & maintain staff training program in service areas. Ensure all staff complete Orientation & other general staff training programs timely.

  7. Create new programs related to service area as needed or appropriate & coordinate marketing plans w/ manager.

  8. Handle client service issue escalations in a manner that maintains company’s reputation.

General Administrative Duties

  1. Prioritize & complete duties within the overall business goals.

  2. Maintain “to do” lists & project lists with priorities, target completion dates & current status.

  3. Delegate tasks that others can complete under your supervision & guidance.

General Manager Duties

  1. Sets company direction & establishes annual performance goals.

  2. Monitors overall company performance to goals set.

  3. Coordinates priorities & monitors progress.

  4. Ensures good communication flow throughout business (management, supervisors, coordinators, staff & clients).

  5. Resolve resource conflicts as needed.

  6. Oversee company special projects.

Other Duties

  1. Be available as needed for weekend or holiday pet or facility issues that escalate to management team.

  2. Oversee proper use of equipment in assigned areas & maintenance as required.

  3. Maintain good working relationship with supply & maintenance vendors requesting service as required.

  4. Management projects as assigned.

Other duties as assigned


  • High school graduate with some college preferred

  • Excellent oral & good written communication skills

  • Previous work experience demonstrating dependability

  • 1-2 years experience supervising staff

  • 1-2 years work experience in animal care industry preferred

  • Self-motivated, independent worker with attention to detail

  • Proven leadership & training skills

  • Good decision & problem solving skills

  • Good organization & planning skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Demonstrated flexibility & proven coping skills

  • Good financial & credit history per company background & credit checks
